Volunteers should wear sturdy, close-toed shoes when volunteering at the shelter and dress in casual, comfortable clothing (jeans and a t-shirt are ideal).
Please note that anyone 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian when volunteering at the shelter.

If you have some time to give and you want to help animals, we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
We hold a mandatory volunteer orientation/training session on the first Wednesday of each month for those who will be interacting with the dogs. Please join us at 6pm (excluding holidays) at Shepardson Community Center, Room 7, at 1172 Whittemore Rd., Middlebury, CT, 06762. Here you will learn more about what we do and how you can help. You can download the appropriate volunteer form as well as the waiver below. Please fill out these forms and bring them with you to the orientation session. We will need to copy your driver's license for our records.
